I'm delighted with my Vintage Kindle cover. I also have a Lime Prodigy cover from M-Edge that is stylish and functionnal, yet, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Octo Vintage Leather cover :-) Now that I use it daily, I can testify that it is indeed rough and precious at once, that it doesn't feel bulky at all, that it folds nicely so I can read one-handed... I was a little worried about how it would keep closed in a bag, as the Prodigy cover has a system, but I find that it doesn't open by itself too easily. I love reading with it on the subway, it attracts less attention than a brand new hi-tech device. And mainly, it has this amazing mysterious feel that is like cyber-reading from a classic timeless artefact !

I can't get over how much I love this cover for my K2. Every time I see it laying on the table I want to grab my Kindle and curl up on the couch and start reading. I bought this cover because of the inside pocket. I like to keep a couple of notecards with me when I am reading and the pocket is perfect. Now that I have had this cover for a week it has grown on me in so many ways. 1. It is thin. . . as thin as the generic Amazon cover (which I have). It is much thinner than an M-Edge cover (which I also have). 2. The little rubber band in the lower right corner is a great enhancement over the Amazon cover, which lacks this corner strap. 3. The look of the leather is delightful. This is what makes me want to pick it up each time I see it laying on the table. I guess I am just an old book-lover at heart. It is a treat to open the cover and have this high-tech gizmo inside. 4. The inside pocket is great and does not seem to add any thickness. 5. Did I mention that the cover is thin?

The cover itself adds a unsurprising amount of bulk and weight to the naked kindle but really feels as though it will protect the device when required. The leather feels as though it will soften and age beautifully, unlike its owner. Carrying and handling the combination feels like using a very nice notebook like a Moleskine and suddenly looks less like a strange gadget and more like a book.

I waited weeks for this case to be back in stock and it was worth the wait! It looks great, the quality is superb and the fit is perfect. I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a really nice case to protect their Kindle 2.
